Our Goal
Our goal for the foundation is to support three incentives that were important to Keith:
I. Transplant Awareness
Support, educate and increase awareness of the importance of organ donation, particularly in the minority community. Keith was incredibly blessed to have received a heart transplant and was passionate about educating others on the importance of transplants. It puts a smile on my face every time I think of him recording videos from his hospital bed encouraging other transplant survivors. I want the foundation to get out into the community and ensure that others are aware of the options and importance of organ donation. Education and supporting those who are waiting for a transplant.
II. Community Support
Community Support. Keith was proudly born into a family of servants. Our legacy is that of humble servants. We have a long and proud history of supporting our community in a multitude of different ways. Keith was a “giver” at heart. Even when he did not have it to give, he was always trying to find a way to support others in need. My grandmother taught me that “as long as you are giving you will always have it to give”! I want the foundation to find ways to give back to communities through feeding the unhoused, providing “sneakers” to children and young adults, and supporting community food banks.
III. Brotherhood
Investing in the continued advancement of Future and Present Omega Psi Phi members. Keith loved his fraternity and I would be remiss if I did not ensure that the foundation continued to support the brotherhood that he so loved. It is my goal for the foundation to be a helping hand for those young men who don’t have the funds to meet the financial requirements to join the fraternity as well as support existing members who are in need.
